What is FSC®?

It is the certification of the origin of wood. It is an English acronym of the Forest Stewardship Council®, an international organization created to ensure the proper use of the world's forests.

The FSC® determines the rules for forest raw materials (eg wood) are removed through good management, ensuring environmental conservation and social benefits.

These rules are called the Principles and Criteria and were made with the participation of society, organizations that defend the environment, and with representatives of workers and enterprises.

 

The Seal

The factories that buy certified wood to make their furniture, can also sell their products with the FSC® label. This is called chain of custody certification..

The certification then functions as a certificate of origin (origin of the wood).

During a certain time, certified wood is held by the company that will make the product. In our case (Mobile).
